Meet Sarah from North Carolina, United States…
When did you get into transcription?
I had been looking into possible legitimate work from home opportunities for a while. I’ve been a Stay at Home Mom for a lot of years and was looking for a way to get back into the job force but still be able to be home for my kids.
About a year and a half ago, I came across and article that talked about TranscribeMe, applied, and I’ve been happily transcribing away ever since! I’ve now transcribed over 250 hours of recorded audio for industries like education, entertainment and corporate/business.
What does your typical work environment look like, and what else do you like to do?
I work from a laptop, sitting in a comfy chair wherever I feel like sitting – it’s amazing. When I’m not transcribing, I like to be doing a number of different things like reading, watching movies or TV, playing with my chickens and taking care of my children. Never a dull moment!
What’s your favorite tip to get the job done?
Have the right tools for the job. Good headphones and a foot pedal are a must in my book!
What is your favorite part about being a part of TranscribeMe?
I like the flexibility that the company provides. I can essentially work when, where, and for as long as I want to with TranscribeMe. Also, there are a variety of files to keep me and my brain entertained.
